Children and Young People
Children and young people are a very important part of our church community and we have a range of Sunday and weekday activities for them. We also run workshops in the school holidays.
Sundays
The first 10 to 15 minutes of morning worship are for all ages, but after the second hymn the children and young people leave for their own activities. Following a short time of singing and sharing, we divide into groups for activities suitable for each age-range. Each group is led by a team of 3 to 4 leaders on a rota, giving variety yet retaining continuity.

Little Stars are our babies and toddlers under 3. Toys and books are available in the Garden Room, where a speaker system allows parents staying with their child to listen to the service if they wish. Alternatively they can join in with some of the Sunbeams activities.
Sunbeams are the 3 to 7 year-olds. They meet in the top half of our church hall, where they listen to a Bible story, then do some simple but fun art or craft work.
Juniors are the 7 to 11 year-olds. In the other half of the hall, the Juniors do a variety of activities based on the Bible passage of the week, including drama, arts and crafts.
TYG (The Youth Group) is for our young people aged 11 and above. The Bible passage of the day, read or acted out, leads into a broad and lively discussion.
Sunday Evening Youth Fellowship meets on the second Sunday of the month from 7.00 till 8.30 pm. This is a more informal opportunity for our young people in Year 8 and above to meet together in the comfort of a home environment to discuss issues and topics relevant to life as a Christian in today's society.
Weekday Activities
We have a number of activities for children and young people during the week, ranging from Toddler Groups to Youth Choir.
