Weekday activities

Hilltots Toddler Groups meet on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10.00 till 11.30 am in the church hall.  The two groups operate separately but on similar lines.  Everyone helps set up and clear away the toys, sand, paint and ride-ons.  There is also some singing, lots of fun and it's a great place to make new friends!  There may be a waiting list, but do come along and see us, or telephone Margaret Hanton on 020 8693 2618. 

Noah's Ark Toddler Group meets on alternate Friday mornings during term time from 10.30 till 11.30 in the church hall.  It is an opportunity for parents and carers from this church and the local community to come with their toddlers and babies for a session of songs, crafts and activities based around a simple Bible story, followed by refreshments.  You are welcome to drop in and see us, or contact Aileen on 020 7642 0753 for more details.

Recorder Group meets on Fridays during term time from 4.15 till 4.45 in the church.  The group began in September 2008 with beginners and welcomes new members aged 7 and above. The group played in church for the first time on Sunday 8th February.  Come and see us or contact Sue Thompson on 020 8693 0402 for more details.

Youth Choir meets on Fridays during term time from 4.45 till 6.00 in the church.  Formed in 2002, the choir welcomes boys and girls aged 8 and above who enjoy singing, whether or not they attend church.  We sing a variety of music at various events, from church services to community concerts to entertaining senior citizens. This year the choir celebrates its 8th anniversary with a performance of Swingin' Samson, a jazzy version of the Old Testament story, at the morning service on Sunday 7th March.  We will be singing a selection of songs from the musical The Sound of Music at a tea party for Senior Citizens on 27th March. We occasionally take the children on trips to concerts or the theatre.  In September 2008 a group went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Wimbledon Theatre.  In March 2009 a group went to see KCL's production of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer at the Greenwood Theatre.  In November 2009 we took a group to the Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon, to see Seussical the Musical, in which one of our members took part.
