Youth Activities

Herne Hill has a lively programme of groups for children and young people of all ages. In addition to groups on Sunday mornings we have:

Getalife Youth Group

Every other Friday during term-time at 7.45pm to 9.15pm. Over 13s, drop in.

Youth Choir

Herne Hill United Church Youth Choir was formed in March 2002 for the young people in our church aged 8 and upwards who enjoy singing. Their friends and other young people from the local area are also welcome to join us. Practices are held on Fridays during school term-time from 4.45pm - 6.00pm in the church.

We learn modern worship songs to sing in church services and also work on longer pieces to perform at concerts to raise money for charity. Works we have performed include: Jonah-man Jazz; Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; Jerusalem Joy, which was a joint venture with the adult singers in the church, Along Came Man and a joint concert with the Whales drama group from Christ Church, tracing the life of Moses. The choir celebrated its 5th Anniversary in March 2007 with a concert in which former choir members joined the present choir to perform Resurrection Rock. We also sing at various local church events.

Dynamite

New in 2006, Dynamite is an activity club for 8 to 12 year olds. It meets every Thursday from 6.15pm til 7.30pm.

Noah's Ark

Twice a month on Fridays during term-time 10am to 11am Pre-school praise for under 5s and their parents and carers whether or not they attend the church. Drop in.
